What is EAP?
The Emergency Assistance Program for Families (EAP) provides short-term financial assistance to individuals and families in temporary crisis.
EAP provides financial assistance to help pay for shelter and utilities.
We know how hard it is to ask for help, even when you really need it. We'll do everything we can to find a way to help you.
Who can receive these services?
To qualify for EAP assistance, a person must:
Have an eviction or disconnection notice.
What services are offered?
Time-limited cash assistance for housing and utilities.
Other transitional services to help families become independent.
EAP helps families and individuals pay their rent or utility bills in order to get through emergency crisis.
If you are faced with an eviction or have an utilities disconnection notice, financial assistance may be available from EAP.
Other types of financial assistance are available from time to time.
We pay the bill which the applicant has requested assistance for directly to the vendor named in that applicant's documentation packet.
If I am approved, how is payment made?
No payment is made directly to you. If approved, the payment goes directly to the vendor. You will be sent a letter confirming the details of the assistance granted.
